One more VERY VERY VERY important change to our market starting from 13 November 2017.
    Anybody know what is that?

Stocks trading at $1.00 to $1.99 will no longer be at half cent per bid.

The new spread is 1 ct per bid. $ONG arrrr !!! Chin Ho $ay arrrr !!! aa1(5).gif

    Mid-day Break

From 13 November 2017, there will be a mid-day trading break from 1200h to 1300h, during which orders will not be matched. Therefore, continuous trading will be divided into two sessions: a morning session from 0900h to 1200h and an afternoon session from 1300h to 1700h.

The mid-day break consists of two phases: a pre-open phase and a non-cancel phase.

    • The pre-open phase starts from 1200h and ends randomly within a one-minute window between 1258h to 1259h. If an investor has orders queuing in the order book prior to the start of the mid-day break, these existing orders will continue to rest in the order book. Investors can continue to manage their orders, i.e. submit new orders, modify or cancel existing orders but there will not be order matching. SGX will publish the Indicative Equilibrium Price (IEP), which is the price at which orders would be executed if auction matching was to occur at that point, to give investors an indication of the market level.
    • The non-cancel phase follows immediately after the pre-open phase ends. Investors will no longer be able to enter, modify or cancel orders, and orders will be matched at a single price derived by the same algorithm used to calculate the IEP. Continuous trading in the afternoon trading session starts at 1300h. Orders which are not matched at the end of the mid-day break will be carried over to the afternoon trading session.
The introduction of a mid-day break addresses the preference of some market participants for shorter trading hours while retaining significant overlap in trading hours with key markets in Asia. In addition, the break may bring other benefits such as allowing trading representatives to better engage their clients or for issuers to make company announcements.

This is Wilmar's updated as at today 6th-Mth Daily chart.

    a2.jpg

I pulled out her past charts to look at the last time she was below her 20-ema which in turn was below her 50-ema which yet in turn was below her 200-ema.
I wanted to see as she rose to cross above her 20-ema...and then went on to cross above her 50-ema and on approaching or testing her 200-ema, what did
    she do?

    And I found this.

    Suntec...

    This is her 5-Yr chart.
Do take note that she has a resistance at just above $2.00 which was tested twice in the last 5 years but was not broken.

    SingTel looks okay, bro.

STE macam no wan to go lower than 3.48 for now.
But the jury is still out there whether we will see the 20-ema at 3.44 being tested.

Off to a shaky start. She dipped on opening.
    Then rebounded.
Whether she can keep going..... we will know in the morn.

As long as can hold no sweat one.
Throughout Sep and Oct if any fund Beh Song and want to sell would have done so and she would have broken below
3.60 to show us the 3.50s... 3.40s... even 3.30s. But it didnt happen. Instead, after finding a bottom at 3.65, that was it.
Either you buy her at that level or dont buy. I was waiting and hoping to see somewhere between 3.40 to 3.50 but it didnt
happen. I missed buying at 3.65 to 3.73. I got mine at 3.74 to 3.78.
If a fund wants to sell now, let it sell. We just stand aside and wait for him to be done.
When he is done, there will be other funds waiting in line to stock up on SingTel.
Results cant be that bad. A telco's revenue is recurring in nature. Whoever were subscribers of SingTel and paying her
fees in the previous quarter are most likely still her subscribers and still paying her fees in the current quarter. The Telco
business is not like say the oil rig business or airline business. One quarter you can win more new contracts to build rigs
or carry more passengers and in the next quarter those rig orders or passenger numbers may decline. But for telco and
broadband services, how many people will switch to a different operator every 3 months?

Both her 20-ema and 50-ema are at 3.73. We see if that provides support.
