S&P Futures hit the target with a high at 1261 yesterday.. I was expecting a rally during the US session, but it happened before the NFP in anticipation. We might see some sideways action or some weakness next few days.. I will be exiting longs on monday morning and sit on cash for a few days with a fishing rod..

Intraday trading will be good for a few days and pennies might be in focus..

    UOB closed at 15.20 yday.
Market Depth shows a likely Pre-Opening at 16.38 as of now at 8.40am.
This means a gap-up of $1.18 or $11,800 if you have 10 lots.
Therein lies the power of the market.

Wowz...What a move by Dow and Europe...Dow back above 12k liaoz in 1 session!! Meaning that the bottom may be carved out for now and instead of a downtrend, it would have a new upper range for trading liaoz...I was anticipating S&P back to 1215 or so, but not all the way up to 1240+....:scared:

Oh wellz...I guess this is the Christmas cheer the market was hoping for...Guess STI now has a decent chance for an IHS...Still, I remain a bit skeptical on how sustainable it is, being akin to a new QE being injected - I would have preferred a stronger and wider base to be built before rallying - as I see, fundamentals have yet to support such a move...Notwithstanding, I guess the new scheme of things is to follow the katek catching market till the music stops again...

    Merry Christmas to the longists...:flowers:

Sorri, it was 4.59pm but i had queue at least a mintue or two earlier for my 9.65 and 9.70 position but both turned out expired when the cut off time of 4.59pm was reached. I do understand normal CFD isn't prompt in their trade especially when traffic is high - in this case near closing. From the look of this evening on Europe and US rally, it might not be a bad thing that my trade wasn't fulfilled due to such limitation.

    Did you mean 4.59pm?

If so, then your Order expired as soon as Pre-Closing commenced.
But if it was at 5.59pm....then it doesnt make sense why your 9.65 wasnt done
unless there was a technical glitch and your Order was not sent to The Exchange
    for matching at Pre-Closing.

In plain and simple English....WE DONT FARK CARE whether the market is rallying for the right reason !!!!

All we care is that if the market wants to FREAKING RALLY..... then we ride on it and HUAT and no
hew whether the rally makes any freaking sense or not.

    Make$ $en$e, guy$? Faces42.gif

That will depend on how big the gap up is.
Generally, if the gap up is insanely huge, then the probability of immediate profit taking is very high.
Put it this way......if you LONG a counter and it gaps up by say 50 cts.... would you have your finger
on the button to throw back immediately if you see others throw back....or would you still do nothing
and hope that the price will go even higher?

For the same reason, if you are looking to LONG and the gap up is insanely huge, will you nevertheless
go in and LONG immediately at that insanely huge gapped-up price? Or will you wait for others to take
profits to let the price come down first before you consider if you still want to LONG or not?

And you would have answered your own question.

And BUY ON PULLBACK......but only if pullbacks are very well absorbed and hence shortlived.
