    Guys...

Tomorrow is the 1st day of the new trading year. Start it right by doing first things first.
And THAT... to me, is to give your portfolio a re-look. And see if you need to do some
spring cleaning. There are winners. There are losers. The winners... no need to talk about
them. Either you take your profits and move on to the next chic. Or you sit it out and wait
for your target to be reached. Its the losers we need to talk about. What kind of stocks are
    they?

Sure CUM stocks? If so, can LOON. Meantime, consider whether still can buffer and go the
other way. Or too late to buffer ler coz the stock is going to turn soon and move back in
your direction. Then better dont buffer. Just LOON will do. Buffering is a good technique
but provided done early and near to your stuck level. If the stock is nearing a top or bottom,
the better view is simply LOON and dont buffer anymore. Otherwise if the U-turn should
really come, your stuck positions will start to feel relief but your buffer positions will start
to work against you and weigh on both your capital and your emotions.

Other than Sure Cum stocks, all your other stuck SureNoCum or CumNoSure stocks...you
should seriously consider cutting them and be done with it and move on. For these type
of stocks, what has happened is that the troops you sent into battle are now about to be
overrun by the advancing enemy. More than half of your men have been captured by the
enemy and a knife is pointed at each of their throats. They are still alive for now. But as
good as dead becoz there is no hope of them escaping. Your remaining troops are holding
their ground and keeping the enemy at bay for now. Saving those soldiers who have a knife
pointed at their throats is impossible. But saving what's left of your troops can still be done.
And for that to happen, you, as their commander must give the order to leave behind those
men who are captured and for those who are still free, to retreat and come home.

If you, as Commander do nothing, then you are not putting your limited resources to good
use. As a Commander, your focus should not be on those men who are captured and with
no hope of escape. Your focus should be on what's left of your men who can still fight for
you if you recall them, rearm them and redeploy them. Becoz until you do so, those good
men are still trapped in the battlefield lying idle and useless. You derive no military advantage
from having them. But if you free them and sacrifice the men you have for all practical effect
lost, those freed men can still be a military asset to you. Holding on to a hopeless cause is not
a hallmark of a true general.

If your stock is a penny which was once in flavour but have since fallen out of favour with its
monkey, your stock will most probably go to sleep never to awaken again. For a stock like this,
get out whilst you still can and move on with what's left of your capital.

Take the trouble to video lots and lots of his cute adorable moments.
Store the video in one external hard disk drive dedicated for him.
A must is to video every birthday party so that you can see his facial changes year after year.
Another must is to take a picture of him sitting now and next time standing at say, a door frame in your flat.
Every year, stand at the same door frame and take a picture. When you place the pictures side by side or
you do a video lasting 5 seconds and do a fade and overlap of the next 5-second video clip showing him at
the same door frame a year later and you repeat the process year after year, you get to see him growing
taller and taller year after year. You will probably live in your BTO flat for at least 5 to 10 yrs before you
consider getting a condo from your chicken farming income. aa2.gif

Dow closed the last trading day of the Year 2015 with a fall of -178.84 pts.
Hope this paves the way for a similar fall on the 1st trading day of the Year 2016.
Last year, the 1st trading week of 2015 was largely a sea of red. This was followed
by a rebound in the 2nd trading week of 2015 which went on to become a mini rally
lasting till the 3rd trading week of 2015. The 4th trading week then saw prices retreating.

If this scenario repeats itself in 2016, I hope the snipers here will seize the windows of
opportunities to grab chickens in the following counters...

    SGX
    SingTel
    CapitaMall Trust
    CapitaComm Trust
    Suntec

SIA... if she falls to nearer $10.00 in the 1st trading week of Jan 2016.
ComfortDelgro... if she falls to nearer $2.85 in the same period.

[h=1]Dow closes worst year since 2008[/h]

[h=2]The new year couldn't come soon enough for many investors.[/h]U.S. markets finished 2015 mostly in the red: The Dow was down 2.2%. The S&P 500 ended the year down 0.7%. It was the worst year for those two indexes since markets collapsed in 2008.

The Nasdaq finished 2015 up 5.7%. However, it had double digit gains in the three years prior.
Volatility thrashed investors left and right in 2015. The three big concerns this year were falling oil prices, China's economic slowdown and the seemingly never ending speculation about when theFederal Reserve would raise interest rates.
Greece's debt crisis, the European Central Bank's stimulus plan and fears of a broader slowdown inemerging markets kept investors on their toes too.
It was a good year for investors on opposite sides of the spectrum. Investors who put extra cash on the sidelines avoided all the negative returns in stocks and bonds. Bank of America declared that"cash is king" in 2015 in a research note in September.
But investors who were bullish on certain tech stocks are ending the year way up. Stocks forAmazon (AMZN, Tech30) and Netflix (NFLX, Tech30) both soared over 115%. Google (GOOG) andExpedia (EXPE) each finished 2015 up over 45%. Facebook gained 34%.
The best performing sector was consumer discretionary stocks, which consist of companies likeStarbucks (SBUX) and Home Depot (HD). Both of those companies had strong years.

Outside of a select few though, many stocks tumbled. Energy stocks got crushed the worst. The biggest losers were Chesapeake Energy (CHK), CONSOL Energy (CNX) and Southwestern Energy(SWN). Each fell about 75%.
Utility companies, building material firms and big banks also will finish the year down.
Oil prices fell at a faster pace in 2014 but continued to decline in 2015. Oil hit a seven-year low in December, falling below $35 a barrel due to a global oversupply. Its unclear when supply will stop overflowing. Members of the oil cartel OPEC haven't agreed on production levels and Saudi Arabia refuses to ease up on pumping oil.
If oil's crash didn't make investors fret, the Federal Reserve did. All year, the market speculated when the Fed would finally raise its key interest rate. Higher interest rates sometimes hurt stocks because they raise the cost of borrowing money.
Speculation built up heading into the Fed's meetings in June, September and December. Finally, the Fed did an expected yet small rate hike, 25 basis points (0.25%), on December 16. It was the first rate increase in nearly a decade.
One thing holding back the Fed all year was the slowdown in China's economy and its ripple effect sent across emerging markets. China is on pace to grow 6.8% this year, its slowest pace since the financial crisis. That's a far cry from its 10% growth in 2010.
Those major headwinds are expected to abate a bit in 2016. But if this year taught investors anything, it's that markets continue to be unpredictable.
