After matching... you can see so many sellers still at 2.50.
Other than at pre-closing, how to ever sell at 2.50 during normal trading?

    Ascendas REIT...

During normal trading, it is very, very difficult to sell at 2.50 becoz the price will show at most 2.49 : 2.50 but there are two to 3 thousand lots selling.
Very rarely you will see the price at 2.50 : 2.51. Meaning the only way to be filled at 2.50 is to queue very early at 2.50 but how to be early when
we can start queueing only at 8.30am in the morn whilst those using cash account can queue overnite and the moment pre-opening starts, the
various broking houses will transmit their overnite orders to The Exchange. By the time we key in our order at 8.30am, there will be one or two
thousand lots selling at 2.50 ler.

So when I saw pre-closing showing 2.50 with 3000+ lots buying vs 5000+ lots selling, I told myself this is my chance to sell at 2.50.
So I keyed in an order to sell at 2.49 and then waited eagerly hoping that the price will not slip one bid to 2.49. And I was matched!

So now you understand what I mean by know your set up; wait patiently for it to appear; and move in when it appears.

    Whooooooosh at 2.50.

Remember I posted this over the weekend?

    Observations:

    1. In the last 5 years, there were at least 12 occasions when she U-turned back down after touching 2.50 or just above 2.50.

    2. In the last 5 years, there were only 2 occasions when she broke above 2.50 to CHEONG higher... once she hit around 2.85
in 2013 and another when she hit around 2.70 in 2015.

    3. From June 2015 till now, ie. Feb 2017...a period of 20 months, she DID NOT trade above 2.60 and there were at least 8 occasions
where she Lao Hong after touching 2.50 or just above 2.50.

    4. She managed to hit 2.50 only once in the last 11 trading days. The rest of those 11 days...she only managed to hit 2.48/2.49.

    5. What all of the above means is that statistically, she is good for a SHORT trade at around 2.50.
Just SHORT & HOLD and wait for her to Lao Hong.

    ***********************************************************************************************************************************

Remember I said know what the set up of your stock is and move in when the set up appears.
The set up for Ascendas REIT is ...she is good for a SHORT trade at 2.50.
Tomorrow or sometime this week, I should get a chance to cover at 2.47/2.48.

Dunno whether Dow will do another green finish tonite.
So I will wait till tomorrow to play by the ear whether to trade from the SHORT side.
If I SHORT now... that is frontrunning. Coz if Dow Khee Seow and run up again tonite,
tomorrow's prices will be even better for SHORT trades.
Just like today, SingTel hit 3.98 this morn. Bravehearts who dared to SHORT her HUAT big today.

I just realised that 3.60 did break and 3.59 was hit.
But until 3.57 breaks, stuckists will hang on.

When a counter falls and languishes all day and towards the end, there is a rebound,
that late rebound is likely due to shortcovering by intraday karteks.

No bro (or sis). No amalgamation.
Each trade will be billed separately.
So the onus is on you to ensure that each trade is at least 15k so that 0.1% is $15 which is the min. com.
However, if your order is partially filled and you amend the price and the rest of your order is filled at the
amended price, it will be counted as one trade at the amalgamated price where you will get odd decimal
    points.

Nottibird, if we do multiple purchases, will the commission be amalgamated?

This is a tragedy waiting to happen.
They should either permanently anchor the rock to the ground or remove it.

Look at 23rd, 24th and 27th. The price made Higher Highs. But their intraday pullbacks stopped at 3.58, 3.59 and 3.62.
The pullbacks did not take out 3.57.
Hence 3.57 is perceived as a stronghold for the bulls.
If this stronghold is overrun by the Bear Army, some traders will take it as their cue to cut loss...take profits... open SHORT positions.
